Winter handover: what estates teams should expect in the O&M pack

Outdoor environments do not stop changing after practical completion. Winter is where small issues become visible: ponding, edge trip hazards after freeze–thaw, and play surfacing that needs its first post-holiday once-over.

A useful handover pack ties photos to locations, lists manufacturer contacts for moving play, and states clearly what is weekly visual inspection versus annual specialist review.

If you are responsible for multiple sites, ask your contractor for a single-page “first 90 days” matrix — it saves email chains when something looks odd after the first cold snap.
